Our Story

From Pharmacy to Modern Hospital

Nuru Ambusely's journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to bring quality healthcare closer to the people of Namanga and surrounding communities.

In 2013, Andrew Nduati Kariuki, a dedicated pharmacist, opened Aboseli Pharmacy along Amboseli Road. The pharmacy quickly became a trusted destination for local residents seeking medical advice and essential medicines.

However, it didn't take long for Andrew to notice a pressing need — many patients were consulting at the pharmacy with conditions beyond what a pharmacy could address. This sparked a bold idea: expand beyond dispensing medicine to create a full-fledged healthcare facility.

In 2019, Andrew partnered with Dr. Victor Buruna Mwita, a highly skilled gynecology-oncology specialist. Together, they laid the foundation for Nuru Ambusely Hospital. On January 11, 2025, the doors of the new hospital officially opened — marking a milestone in healthcare for Namanga and its neighboring regions.
